One of the goals of the Women’s Creative Centre is to build community. The centre is a place where like-minded people can meet, learn, grow and share life together. The women at the Centre endeavour to make sure the Centre is a friendly place. Many of the women arrived as strangers, but are now life-long friends. The connection is the love of craft and the love of life.
The sense of community is not only an inward focus, but it is also outward. Since its inception the Women’s Creative Centre has been working hard to make a difference in the greater community. The ladies do this through the use of their skills and through fundraising. They have helped many people. They have supplied rugs for aged care, clothing for the new born and premature babies in hospitals. This is a needed and ongoing practice.
Since 2009 this aspect of the WCC has been called Creative Angels.
If you are looking for an exciting way to connect with other women, to learn and to contribute to the greater community through the practical use of your skills and crafts, then the Women’s Creative Centre is the place for you.
